Oh the secrets you could tell, but shouldn’t! Oh the confidences we keep, and had better keep them. Did you ever notice, that the most loved creatures on earth, are our pets? Do you know the most important reason they’re so special to all of us? Because they are the ABSOLUTE BEST confidence keepers on the planet! Even if you get them mad as a hornet, or don’t feed them at the exact same time, or worse, you forget them outside and it started to rain, they’ll never retaliate and blab your secrets.
They’ll never, never tell who you like, who you don’t, how you felt when you lost the game, how you felt when you failed the test, how you felt when your car broke down for the 100th time and you lost your job. They just keep on loving you, one hundred percent, and NEVER tell a soul anything you tell them. Or what they may have overheard in a phone conversation. Or what they saw you buy that you shouldn’t have. Or what you ate that you shouldn’t have. NOPE!
They are the BEST!! So be like your pet, and be a confidence KEEPER. That means you never become a confidence LEAKER. No matter the reason, no matter how upset you are with the other person. That means you never gossip, lie, or stretch the truth about someone. Don’t be a leaker!
The value of you being a confidence KEEPER, is more than DIAMONDS. Think about how much you want others to keep the things you tell them one hundred percent confident. That kind of keeping of your confidences is valuable, more valuable than billions of highly sought after diamonds. These days, everyone thinks everything should be blabbed all over the internet.
WRONG!
Be one of the smart ones, and keep the information to yourself. If more people did that, we’d have a LOT LESS trouble around us. PLUS, as an added bonus, we feel lighter not spreading it around and causing trouble. We feel better about ourselves, not being someone that’s untrustworthy.
Through all my school years growing up, I was known as someone that never talked about others. I never told anyone what someone told me in confidence. And I can say without reservation, it felt GREAT being the rare person who was thought of by friend and foe alike to be honest and trustworthy in ALL things, at ALL times. That didn’t just help in my relationships, but also in my jobs, and later in business. It’s worth diamonds to be a confidence KEEPER. Trust me, I know.
