Book 'em Dano!
Jut a minute....I need a smile here.
Maybe you’re familiar with that tagline, maybe not. If you’ve ever watched the TV show “Hawaii Five-O”, new or original version, then you know the tagline. If not, that’s ok too because it’s still relevant. What do you think of when you hear someone say the line, “Book ‘em”? Do thoughts come to mind of someone getting arrested for something illegal, or are you more like me and think about all the lovely books you should have read already? And those you want to read.
Either way, it makes me laugh just thinking about it! Admit it. It doesn’t matter which thought comes to mind when you hear the phrase “Book ‘em Dano”, because either thought will make you smile, or chuckle, or even better, make you want to read a good book or go watch a rerun of the show. Win-win both ways, even if you’re not a fan of the show.
How about other seemingly unimportant phrases that you hear from time to time. Do any of those make you smile, or chuckle when you think about them? See if you can come up with a few, or at least one, that makes you smile recalling it. Don’t worry, it’s a FREE exercise in smiling. Go ahead, give it a whirl. It won’t hurt. Unless of course, you try to go too far back in your memories and give yourself a brain-ache. I wouldn’t suggest that. Smile on!
