The title to this weeks post is a very famous line from a movie, starring Clint Eastwood. That’s not why I chose it of course, but I didn’t want to take credit for his famous line. My post today has nothing to do with the great Mr. Eastwood, no insult intended. It does however, have everything to do with a challenge to you, and to every other person out in the world. It’s a dare. A challenge if you will. Yup, I hereby challenge EACH AND EVERY PERSON WHO READS THIS:
Go ahead. MAKE………..MY……….DAY!
Wouldn’t it be a great science experiment if each and every one of us tried to do just that, to make someone else’s day? That would mean doing something THEY like, or need, or want. OR…….it could mean being nicer to them and making them……wait for it……..yup, you got it…………..making them SMILE!
And do ya want to know a little secret? Come closer, I don’t want everyone to know, then it’ll get out and everyone will be doing it…….it’s so much easier than you think. Making someone else’s day nicer, kinder, better, easier is SO EASY! It can be as simple as sending someone an uplifting text, or a card by snail-mail (you remember snail-mail don’t you? It’s that mail delivered in person! lol), or offering to make dinner instead of waiting for that person to get home, drop all their stuff and make dinner when you could have done it for them, or maybe airing up their flat tire in the bad weather, or……you get the idea. I’ll bet if you gave it a little thought, really only five or ten minutes worth of thought, you can come up with a whole list of things that will “Make their day”.
And the best part is that tricky little thing people call “karma”, or whatever, will come back to you in kindness. Give kindness and you’ll reap kindness as well. That’s even in the Bible. Who knew? So go ahead and make someone’s day, I not only give you permission to do so, but I URGE you to. TODAY. Who knows, someone might just “Make your day” too!
Yes, spread joy and sweetness all round. Good idea! Interestingly, I sometimes think in terms of science fiction (not that I write that stuff) wouldn't it be interesting if EVERYONE in the world were happy? I suspect no one would want to kill someone else or steal their stuff. And where would that lead? The mind boggles.
Love this!!
