What popped into mind when you read the title? Did the memory of little men with pointy hats marching in a line, holding pick axes and singing this song come to mind? (original Snow White movie reference).
Isn’t it amazing that as an adult, we can remember movies, songs, or bits of songs from commercials we saw on TV as a child years later?
But if you were to ask me to remember basic Biology or Spanish 101, now that’s funny!
Ok, so it’s not as funny as it sounds, but it really IS funny if you let it be. WHY? Because we remember what we want to remember, usually something we liked. Something that was a pleasant memory from our childhood that brought us a smile.
Those things that made us smile back then, can still have the power to make us smile now that we’re adults.
Simple pleasures from when we were children can still have the sweet effect of making us smile as adults.
Swinging in the park, walking barefoot in the grass, skipping rocks across the lake or pond, dangling our bare feet in the lake off the dock, dancing in the rain, splashing in mud puddles with our shoes, and blowing the dandelion’s puff ball out into the wind.
Ahh, these are sweet memories that you and I can still do as adults to bring us a smile- now. So go and enjoy!
High ho, high ho, it’s off to SMILE I go!!!
