OOPS!
Ever have to say that? Yeah, me too! Recently in fact. But that’s ok. It’s ok because I know we humans tend to learn more from our mistakes than our successes. Failure is an amazing teacher, wouldn’t you agree? The lessons we learn from failed attempts, failed experiments, etc., stick with us long after what we did to succeed. To prove this, let’s not forget that we only have the modern day light bulb thanks to Thomas Edison’s failures. In attempting to create the lightbulb, he failed 2,774 times to be exact!
No one else in all of history tried anything THAT many times, at the SAME thing, before they gave up. Now that’s persistence! And a lot of failing.
So yeah, it’s ok to fail. It’s even beneficial to fail, cuz you’ll learn from it. Go ahead and try something, even if you’re not an expert at it. The only way to get better is to fail a few thousand times. Just ask Thomas Edison! Then SMILE, knowing the more you fail, the better you’ll get. Or in Edison’s case, the closer you’ll get to succeeding. Smile, and fail on!
I’ll leave you with a joke: Why are vampires so annoying? Cuz they’re a pain in the neck!
And here’s a riddle: What goes all around the world but still stays in the corner? A stamp!
