Some of the greatest stories ever told were begun “Once upon a time.” We all grew up reading those stories, or having them read to us. Stories about princesses, kings, frogs, and three billy goats. Dragons and sleeping beauties, fairies and kingdoms. And we loved them all. We read them, then re-read them, then some of us even acted out the stories(admit it, you did it too!). But alas, we’re not kids anymore.
And so what? I believe there is and always be a little kid in all of us, right on til the day we die. Why do I believe that? Because many a great elder person has shared how they think or feel. They don’t think inside their heads like an older person, but as their younger self. Their younger self never aged, only spent more time here. Which proves there’s a kid in all of us. Always.
What’s your “Once upon a time” story?
Your once upon a time journey is a great one. But if you don’t write it down, or type it into a word document, then you’ll forget it over time. Document, journal, write, or even voice record your life journey. Your journey is unique to you, and you’ll want to savor that in your older years. Maybe even share it with a younger relative to help them through a tough time. So record (in some way or fashion) your own Once upon a time story. Your life journey is a good one. Smile and journey on my friend.
