Whatcha gonna do?
Just a minute.....I need a smile here!
Oh, the age-old question we’ve all been asked at least a time or two, which is “Whatcha gonna do?” And the answer was usually the same whenever someone asked. “I dunno,” came the answer from us. Although it never answered their question, somehow, by some weird phenomenon, that answer satisfied them. Ok, I’m laughing a bit about this because I just had this experience the other day. Someone asked me this question, and I answered the usual “I dunno”, and they seemed satisfied. Weird, huh?
Anyone else rolling in laughter yet? I mean, if the “I dunno” can answer your question, then why did you bother asking in the first place? Right? (insert slapping hand to the forehead and shaking head back & forth here).
So what do you do when you get the “I dunno” answer from someone when you ask them the “whatcha gonna do” question? Do you accept the “I dunno” and go off on your merry way, or do you press them for a better answer?
These vultures in ‘The Jungle Book’ movie answer each other in the same way. When one asks the other, the answer is always “I dunno”.
I love this scene from “The Jungle Book.” It makes me laugh with their back-and-forth questioning. But I’ve had this convo with a friend, where neither of us knew what we wanted to do, and it went back and forth between us a few times before we busted out laughing from it. Ever find yourself in this dilemma? You will.
Next time you do, roll with it like the vultures did, and you’ll soon find yourself laughing too. So smile on!
