One liners have been making people smile(and laugh) for centuries, no matter who tells it or what type of joke it is. Ever hear a pirate tell a joke? You’ll laugh your ‘booty’ off!
What does a pirate name his dog? The Plank. That’s why the pirate is always ‘walking the plank’. How do pirates communicate? Aye to Aye.
Then there’s the one liner “dad jokes” that get you when you least expect it. Though most jokes considered to be dad jokes don’t always hit their funny mark, I’ll list a few here for you to judge if they’re funny or not. Son: “Dad, can you explain a solar eclipse to me?” Dad: “No sun.” How does NASA organize a party? They planet. What did the blanket say when it fell off the bed? Oh sheet! Why did the god of thunder need to stretch his legs? He was a little Thor.
What’s your favorite type of one liner? Dad jokes, pirate jokes, or some other type? How about little kids telling jokes? I LOVE it when kids make up jokes because they catch you off guard and tickle your funny bone.
What did one hat say to another? You wait here…I’ll go on a-head. What do you call fake noodle? An impasta! Why couldn’t the skeleton go to school? His heart wasn’t in it. What did the mama cow say to the calf? It’s pasture bedtime.
Laughing is good for the soul, AND for your face which we’ve discussed in previous newsletters. But did you know, it’s also good for your future? How can that be you ask? I’m so glad you did, because I happen to know the answer. The answer is easy for you….
Laughing now changes your mental attitude, your facial expression, and your emotions. Which in turn changes your future attitude, your future responses, and your future feelings. All to something better, something good. So your future changes from possibly sour or negative, to something good and positive. I told you it would be good for your future!! Sunny side UP!
